Men In Nursing Club (MINC)

The Men In Nursing Club (MINC) was created in 2023 for male students in Pitt Nursing programs to connect and network at all levels of their academic journey due to low representation within the profession.

From mentoring, socializing, recruitment of prospective students to presentations from successful male nurses, members will also have a chance to have discussions aimed at developing each other’s skills, participate in activities that will help with mental health and well-being as a student, while also addressing some of the issues in the local communities. The club leadership will be student-run and male faculty are invited to help coordinate, offer guidance, and encouraged to serve as mentors to students. The club also plans to invite guest speakers to give insight into their education and specialty.

Pitt Nursing was recognized by the American Association of Men in Nursing (AAMN) and received the Best Schools for Men in Nursing Award in 2022 and 2023.
