Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
At Pitt Nursing, we equip our students to change the future of nursing science, delivery, and outcomes—and to change their personal professional and academic futures. Licensed nurses with a baccalaureate degree are eligible to complete a Master of Science in Nursing, and take their careers to the next level. Ranked 14th in the country for Online Master's in Nursing Programs by 2024 U.S. News & World Report, nurses who come to the University of Pittsburgh School of nursing obtain a degree that prepares them for their future career goals.
You’ll leave the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing with a deeper understanding about nursing science, and the skills and knowledge needed to lead teams and units, create quality interventions, and deliver enhanced nursing care.

MSN Application/Admission
Applications to the Master's Program in Nursing are reviewed by the faculty in the applicant's Major/Area of Concentration.
Part-time & Full-time Options
Part-time and full-time options are available, allowing you to fit the coursework and curriculum to your time needs. Full-time online students who elect admission for the fall of 2017 and later are eligible for in-state rates, regardless of home state, thanks to a scholarship support program at the School of Nursing that reduces actual tuition payment to that of in-state rates.
