FAQs

What time does the ceremony start?

The ceremony will start at 6:00 p.m.

Doors open for seating at 4:30 p.m.

The handicapped-accessible entrance will be open at 4:30 p.m. for guests needing extra time to access the auditorium.

Where is the event located?

The event will be held at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum. Information about the facility can be found at: Soldiers & Sailors.

What is the attire for students?

Undergraduate students must wear their School of Nursing uniform.

Graduate students must wear business attire.

What is the attire for guests?

Business attire.

Do I have to purchase a white lab coat?

No. Your lab coat will be presented to you on stage during the ceremony.

Is there a special place for students to meet?

Once you arrive at the facility, you will be directed to a registration area, where you will be checked in and given your lab coat.

Will I be recognized on stage?

Yes, each student will have their name announced and called onto the stage. You will carry your white coat onto the stage and hand it to one of the faculty members, who will place it on you. Please have the buttons on your coat unbuttoned.

How long with the ceremony last?

The ceremony will be around 1.5 hours.

Is there a reception following the event?

No, there is not an official reception.

How many guests can I bring?

Each student can bring a maximum of four (4) guests.

Are there assigned seats?

Yes. There will be assigned seats for the students. Your name will be taped to your seat for the event. By 5:45 p.m., students should be in their assigned seats for the start of the program.

Guests may sit anywhere throughout the auditorium except for the blocked-off student section.

Where is the handicapped accessible entrance to the building?

There is a handicapped-accessible entrance to the facility of University Place. There is a small parking lot that currently has some scaffolding in the area. Guests can be dropped off and picked up in this area. Guests are not able to park in this lot.
