79 nurses recognized at Cameos of Caring Awards Gala

Over 800 guests gathered at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh on November 3 for the annual Cameos of Caring Gala. 79 honorees were recognized from facilities across western Pennsylvania and Italy.

When the Cameos of Caring tradition began in 1999, it was initially centered on recognizing bedside nurses who exhibited exceptional dedication to patient care. Today, it celebrates nurses in advanced practice roles, those specializing in quality and safety, nurses who excel in care management, champions of organ and tissue donation, and the faculty devoted to educating the next general of professional nurses. In 2023, the Research and Scholarship award category was added to recognize those profoundly impacting nursing science.
