At the School of Nursing Spring Commencement Ceremony, graduates from all academic levels will be recognized – bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and certificate programs.

Nursing Commencement FAQs
- Regalia, Cords & Graduation Central

All graduates must wear academic regalia for the ceremony.
Online regalia orders can be placed at: Shop Regalia.The cost for regalia for Pittsburgh campus students is:
- Bachelor's regalia set: $61
- Master's regalia set: $66
- Doctoral regalia set: $80
Please note the DNP hood is peach.
Graduation Central will be held on April 7, 2026 at The University Store on Fifth. Visit the official University Commencement page for more information.
At this event, undergraduate and graduate students will be able to pick-up their pre-ordered regalia and also purchase regalia in-person.
Honor cords will be distributed by the School of Nursing Center for Student Success (room 240) starting April 8.

- Tickets

Hard copy tickets will be distributed to graduates. The graduate will be responsible for forwarding the tickets to their guests. Graduates will be notified when tickets are available.
- Ceremony Livestream

- Day-Of Details

8:30 a.m. — Doors open for seating
8:45 a.m. — Graduates arrive and check in at the registration table
9:00 a.m. — Graduate group photographs
9:40 a.m. — Graduates line up for processional
10:00 a.m. — Ceremony begins
11:30 a.m. — Ceremony ends - Accessible Guest Drop-off / Pick-up Area

The easiest drop-off point is located directly to the North side of the building on Allequippa Street. Signage will be placed for ease of entry.
- Main Entrance Location

The main entrance can be accessed via level 3 of the building.
If you are coming from Allequippa Street, follow down the stairs located adjacent to the Petersen Events Center. Entrance into the Victory Heights Arena is located about halfway down these stairs and to your left.
If you are coming from Terrace Street, follow up the stairs located adjacent to the Petersen Events Center. Entrance into the Victory Heights Arena is located about halfway up these stairs and to your right.
- Accessible Entrance

There are two accessible entrances into the building, depending on which direction you are coming from.
If you are coming from Allequippa Street, the accessible entrance is located at the Sports Performance Center. Follow the sidewalk to the first entry door on the left. Once inside the building, follow signage directing to the elevator.
If you are coming from Terrace Street, you must enter the Petersen Events Center, and board the elevator. Once aboard the elevator, select level “LL.” From there, you will cross directly into the Victory Heights Arena via the main entrance.
- Parking Options

All surrounding parking facilities are operated solely by the Pitt Parking Office.
- The nearest parking option is the OC Parking Lot, located on Allequippa Street. There is a $7 parking fee for all University of Pittsburgh commencement ceremonies.
- An alternative parking option is the Soldiers & Sailors Garage located at 4101 Fifth Avenue.
- Accessible parking is available at the Presbyterian Hospital garage.

- Outside Food & Beverages

Outside food & beverage is not allowed inside the facility, unless medically necessary.
- Bags & Purses

Only clear bags 12”x 12”x 6” will be permitted. Any bag that is not clear must be less than 4.5” x 6.5”.
