Profile
Maria is a Registered Dietitian with a specialized focus on clinical application in nursing education. Since Fall 2023, she has been teaching at University of Pittsburgh, School of Nursing, offering courses such as Nutrition for Clinical Practice and Nutrition Independent Study. She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh.
Previously working at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Maria has developed a wealth of experience across various medical specialties, including rehabilitation, intensive care, nephrology, cardiology, transplantation, oncology, and more. In her current clinical role as a Renal Dietitian at Dialysis Clinic Inc. enables her to collaborate effectively with various healthcare team members, emphasizing the crucial role nurses play in understanding nutrition to enhance patient care.
