Profile

Dr. Clementoni is a proud Pitt alumnus who received both his BSN (2015) and DNP (2020) from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to becoming Assistant Professor, he worked as adjunct faculty for two years.

Research Areas & Scholarly Emphasis

Dr. Clementoni’s unpublished DNP project focused on improvement of pre-procedure timeouts. Other scholarly interests include high fidelity simulation and patient safety initiatives.

Teaching

Dr. Clementoni has a passion for teaching and was awarded the Helen Lamb CRNA Educator Award in recognition of his dedication and valuable contributions to instructional excellence as a nurse anesthesia student. He provides lectures to all levels of nurse anesthesia students and assists with a variety of simulations including mock induction, crisis training, and difficult airway management.

Service

Dr. Clementoni is an active member of the Pennsylvania Association of Nurse Anesthetists and American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. He serves on the Admissions Committee and has volunteered at the Oakland Food Pantry and Western Pennsylvania Conservancy.

Clinical Emphasis

Dr. Clementoni has been a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist since 2021. He has worked in a wide variety of clinical settings including everything from suburban community hospitals to level one trauma centers. He also has experience providing anesthesia for outpatient plastic surgery and cosmetic dental procedures.
