Susan A. Albrecht

Profile
Dr. Albrecht's research interests focus on women`s health, smoking cessation during pregnancy, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) and postpartum hemorrhage.
In addition, I serve as Maternal-Child Faculty Expert (Principle Investigator, Dr. Ann Mitchell) on a study funded by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities for NFASD: Prevention Through Partnership Improving Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Prevention and Practice Through Partnership.
Teaching
Dr. Albrecht taught undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students. She also served as an Honors B.Phil advisor, a doctoral student advisor, and as a dissertation chairperson. Dr. Albrecht taught master’s and doctoral independent study courses, research practica, nursing education certification program, and the doctoral research seminar.
Service
Dr. Albrecht is an active Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing (AAN) and serves as a Board of Directors member. She co-chaired the Program Planning Committee for the 2015 AAN Annual Conference and was chairperson for the 2016 Annual Health Policy Conference. Dr. Albrecht additionally mentors nurse faculty and hospital clinical administrators to complete applications for Fellow membership.
