The School of Nursing has been ranked 12th in the 2016 QS World University Rankings! These rankings highlight the top universities in 42 subject areas based on academic reputation, employer evaluation, and research impact. The listing was prepared by Quacquarelli Symonds, which specializes in providing information about higher education and careers, in partnership with Elsevier Publishing.
Among U.S. schools, Pitt Nursing was ranked 7th. Academic reputation is computed based on survey responses from 76,798 academics from across the globe. Employer reputation is determined by surveys of employers, in which they indicate institutions that they consider to be excellent for the recruitment of graduates in a particular field. Another factor, research impact, is derived from research citations per paper and the h-index in the relevant subject.
