PhD Student to present at Sigma International Nursing Research Congress

Alice Cline MSN, CNMA Pitt Nursing PhD Student was selected to present at the Sigma International Nursing Research Congress in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Alice Curtis Cline, MSN, CNM, will attend the conference in July 2023 to present “Comparison of cardiovascular risk between those with several mental illness and those without: NHaNES 2017-2018.”

“I’m excited and honored to have been accepted to present a poster at Sigma International this summer,” said Cline. “I’m very grateful to the mentorship of Dr. Heeyoung Lee, whose research I’ve been able to participate in. Her work on predicting cardiovascular disease risk among people with severe mental illness gave me an opportunity to present on the descriptive statistic portion of the study, comparing the cardiovascular disease risk among people with severe mental illness and those without.”

The 34th International Nursing Research Congress is July 20-23, 2023, and brings together over 800 nurse researchers, students, clinicians, and leaders focused on evidence-based research from around the world.

“I’m looking forward to learning from all the other presenters,” said Cline.
