Join us…on Friday, October 24th, when Pitt and the School of Nursing celebrate Homecoming! Pitt Nursing invites you to attend a continuing education event featuring alumna Nancy L. Rothman, EdD (BSN ’63). Dr. Rothman is the Independence Foundation Professor of Urban Community Nursing & Director of Community-based Practices at Temple University’s Department of Nursing. She will discuss “The Future of Nursing and Independent Nursing Practice,” exploring the call within The Future of Nursing report for all nurses to practice to the full extent of their education and training. The CE event, for which one contact hour will be awarded, begins at 1:30 pm in Room 129 of the Victoria Building. Advanced registration is required for the CE event and a fee of $10 will be charged. The Pitt Nursing Alumni Homecoming Reception will follow from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.: no RSVP is required and all alumni are welcome! Don’t miss the fun and festivities!
