A DNP Health Systems Executive Leadership student was appointed the new Senior Director of Pediatrics IDFS Integration at UPMC Health Plan.
Colleen Tipping, MHMS, BSN, RN, previously the Director of the Pennsylvania Pediatric Health Network and project director for the Best Children’s Hospitals’ rankings for UPMC Children’s.
Tipping started her career in the pediatric ICU at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and has held various leadership roles including Informatics Nurse, Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator and Senior Improvement Specialist.
As the Senior Director of Pediatrics IDFS Integration, Tipping will collaborate with IDFS pediatric leaders, senior management, and other clinical areas to plan, promote, and conduct performance improvement activities to improve the clinical experience and quality of care received by pediatric patients and families.
Tipping took over the role on a part-time basis on January 30, 2023. She is expected to complete her DNP degree in 2023.
