Pitt's MSN program remains highly ranked by US News & World Report

The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing continues to be among the nation’s top graduate nursing schools in the latest U.S. News & World Report “Best Online Master’s in Nursing Program” rankings released February 7.

In the new 2024 rankings, Pitt Nursing is ranked No. 14 (tie). The University of Pittsburgh is the only university in Pennsylvania ranked in the top 20 and the only public university in the top 100.

“As the Online Master’s in Nursing program continues to thrive, we take pride in being the only university in Pennsylvania ranked in the top 20,” said Christine E. Kasper, Dean and professor. “This distinction highlights our commitment to setting the standard for excellence in nursing education within the state. We remain dedicated to providing a transformative learning experience that empowers our students to excel in the dynamic healthcare field.”

Pitt Nursing’s Online Master of Science in Nursing program offers two areas of concentration: nursing informatics and school nursing.

The rankings released by U.S. News and World Report are based on data reported through statistical and peer assessment surveys in the following categories: engagement, faculty credentials and training, services and technologies, student excellence, and peer assessment.
