Meet Brady John Bielewicz, DNP, CRNP, CNS

Bielewicz is an assistant professor and program director for the AG-ACNP program.
Describe an ideal student for the AG-ACNP program.
An ideal AG-ACNP student is someone who has an active curiosity and wants to make an impact within their practice. They strive to learn more, seek opportunities, and dive headfirst into new and exciting situations during their clinical experiences.
What do you feel makes Pitt Nursing unique?
One of the biggest selling points of our program is that we help facilitate obtaining clinical experiences for our students. In addition, we can help them find a clinical preceptor in almost any area of interest through our clinical partnerships and alumni. Another strength of Pitt is that our faculty come with a strong clinical background and most still work in their fields, so they can stay current with practice changes and guidelines to help the students grow into APRNs.
How flexible is the program for students who are working professionals or have other commitments?
We work hard with our AG-ACNP students to be as accommodating as possible to a personal, work, and school-life balance. We have full-time and part-time options, that allow students to maintain employment through the majority if not all of the program.
What types of simulation labs or practical training facilities are available for student use?
We have a high-fidelity simulation lab that provides various opportunities during the program to emphasize important concepts to prepare for their success as future AG-ACNPs. We also incorporate standardized patient experiences through several courses during the program.
