Graduates of the AG-ACNP program will be prepared to: 

1. Assess, diagnorse, and manage complex acute and chronic conditions in adult and geronlyology pateint populations across inpatient and specialty settings.
2. Apply advanced clinical judgement and evidence-based practice to deliver safe, high-quality care in fast-paced, high-acuity environments.
3. Lead interdisciplinary care teams, advocate for vulnerable patient populations, and contribute to improved health outcomes across systems.

As a Pitt AGAC NP graduate, you’ll be prepared for high-demand roles caring for acutely ill adults across a range of clinical settings.

Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner roles include:

• Inpatient hospitalist or acute care NP
• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or step-down unit NP
• Surgical or precedural specialty NP
• Emergency or urgent care NP
• Specialty clinic NP (cardiology, pulmonology, oncology, and more)
