Masters of Science in Nursing
The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing MSN Nurse Practitioner program prepares BSN-prepared registered nurses to practice at the highest level of their specialty. Delivered 100% online with clinical placements coordinated directly by the School, this program is designed for working nurses who are ready to advance their practice without putting their careers on hold.
Pitt Nursing's MSN NP program launches its inaugural cohort in Fall 2026 with three concentrations: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Psychiatric Mental Health NP (PMHNP), and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP (AG-ACNP). Each concentration combines rigorous academic preparation with hands-on clinical experience — and because we manage your placements, you spend your energy on becoming an exceptional practitioner, not on finding your own clinical sites.
