Doctor of Nursing Practice Project Development and Completion

POLICY: 

Doctoral education is distinguished by the completion of a specific project that demonstrates synthesis of the student’s acquired knowledge and lays the groundwork for future scholarship. For the DNP Program the scholarly work is the DNP Project. The DNP degree includes mastery of an advanced specialty area of concentration within nursing practice. The DNP Project topic is consistent with the student’s area of concentration.

PROCEDURE:

  1. Details of the requirements for DNP Project development and completion are provided in the DNP Project Guidelines.
  2. DNP students and faculty have continuous access to the latest version of the DNP Project Guidelines, which are posted in the learning management system .
  3. DNP Project Guidelines are reviewed annually by the Chair of the DNP Council and substantive changes are approved by DNP Council. Editorial changes may be made at any time and do not require Council approval.
