Graduation with Honors

POLICY:

To qualify to graduate with university honors, the student must accumulate 60 University of Pittsburgh credits. University of Pittsburgh honors are designated according to the following cumulative GPA criteria:

HonorCum Laude3.25–3.49
High HonorMagna Cum Laude3.50–3.74
Highest HonorSumma Cum Laude3.75–4.00

PROCEDURE:

  1. Upon receipt of the final grade report and completion of degree requirements, the Center for Student Success calculates the final GPA and honors.
  2. Undergraduate nursing students with 60 or more Pitt credits are considered for university honors.
  3. Honors are indicated on the final transcript.
