Profile

Maddie Lepore is a doctoral-prepared nurse practitioner specializing in psychiatric care and substance use treatment. She currently serves at the Western Psychiatric Hospital in their Narcotic Addiction Treatment Program and Psychiatric Emergency Services, and at Healing Bridges, a rural mental health community clinic. Ms. Lepore is a manuscript reviewer for two nursing journals, serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Addictions Nursing, and provides critical incident stress management for health care providers. Her research focuses on policy reform highlighting her advocacy for harm reduction and syringe decriminalization. Her research, clinical work, and publications emphasize improving psychiatric treatment and addiction care, reinforcing her commitment to enhancing mental health services across the lifespan.

Dr. Lepore is on the clinical faculty for Community Clinical course with the Department of Human and Community Services, instructs Mental Health First Aid, and is a consultant for Substance use Disorder Certificate.
