POLICY:
All applicants to the University of Pittsburgh, School of Nursing are to apply through the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, located in Alumni Hall.
Applicants are required to supply the following credentials:
- Official Secondary School Record
- Official scores on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Test (ACT)
- Official transcript of any courses taken at a university or college
- Any additional information or testing as deemed necessary
The following high school courses are required of all applicants:

*A unit is allowed for the successful completion of one year of work in and accepted course.
Applicants are advised that once admitted Act 33/34 (Criminal Record Check/Child Abuse History) Clearances, FBI Fingerprinting, a drug screen and/or additional testing will be required
by clinical facilities.
Applicants who plan to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (as well as most otherstates) are advised that upon application for the Registered Nurse Licensure Examination, the Board of Nursing will inquire as to whether the applicant has been convicted of a misdemeanor, felony, felonious act, an illegal act associated with alcohol, or an illegal act associated with
substance abuse(s).
