Yvette Conley (PhD, FAAN), senior associate dean for research and scholarship and distinguished service professor of nursing, was inducted as a Fellow in the New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM). Her research focus includes using molecular omics approaches to understand symptoms and patient outcomes for those afflicted with traumatic brain injury, stroke and cancer. The NYAM is a nonprofit dedicated to helping all people live longer and healthier lives.

Jill Demirci (PhD, RN, IBCLC, FAAN), associate professor and vice chair for administration of health promotion and development, has been named deputy editor in chief for the Journal of Human Lactation. Her research has focused on the many aspects of human lactation, including the design and implementation of mHealth breastfeeding support interventions, addressing policy and infrastructure barriers to breastfeeding goal attainment, and the etiology, prevention and treatment of perceived insufficient milk.

Heeyoung Lee (PhD, PMHNP-BC, FAAN), associate professor and department chair of health and community systems, was named associate editor of Archives of Psychiatric Nursing, which is one of the major journals in psychiatric nursing. Her extensive research on serious mental illness and the implementation of intervention programs has qualified Lee for this honor.

Faith Luyster (PhD), associate professor for health and community systems, was named associate editor for the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine, a major journal in sleep medicine. Her research focuses on comorbid sleep disorders, especially their impact on patients with chronic medical conditions including type 2 diabetes, obstructive sleep apnea, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
