Open Houses for Prospective Undergraduate BSN Students

 

Pitt’s Office of Admissions & Financial Aid offers various Open House events for prospective students. A School of Nursing recruiter will give a presentation and tour of the School of Nursing in Victoria Hall. The presentation covers admissions criteria and processes, curriculum details, clinical experience sites, as well as other numerous resources and opportunities available to Pitt’s undergraduate nursing students.

The School of Nursing offers weekly informational sessions for prospective high school students and their families who are looking to learn more about the traditional BSN program. The in-person session format is held in the School of Nursing in Victoria Hall and includes a tour, presentation & Q&A.

 

Unable to visit in person? Check the calendar for a full listing of upcoming in-person and virtual sessions.

Information Session are held weekly. You can attend in-person or virtually over Zoom. Please refer to our Events Calendar for dates, times, and how to register.

 

 

Who should attend?

 

  • Current undergraduate baccalaureate students (may consider the Accelerated 2nd Degree BSN as a fifth year option)
  • Individuals with a previous baccalaureate or graduate degree in another discipline

 

This is a great opportunity to learn about the Accelerated 2nd Degree BSN Program. The program is designed to enable students with a previous baccalaureate or graduate degree to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree in three consecutive terms. We’ll discuss the admissions criteria, prerequisite course requirements, application process, curriculum, and clinical experiences.

 

Please note that these sessions are designed for students interested in the three-term ABSN program. Visit our Undergraduate BSN program page if you are interested in the traditional four-year degree.
