Molly McCullough, DNP, RN, CNE, NE-BC, CNDLTC

Molly McCullough, DNP, RN, CNE, NE-BC, CNDLTC is a nurse educator and clinical leader with more than 15 years of experience across acute care, long-term care, home health, wound care, nursing leadership, and nursing education. She is an assistant professor in the Acute and Tertiary Care Department where she teaches pre-licensure students across several med-surg courses. Molly also practices as a staff nurse at St. Clair Hospital, where she contributes to quality improvement, professional development, policy and procedure initiatives, and skin care.

Dr. McCullough’s research areas include Nursing leadership and education; healthcare policy and advocacy; health equity; workforce development; long-term care and aging; community-based healthcare; quality improvement; and evidence-based practice.

Dr. McCullough has been working as a nurse educator since 2023, teaching pre-licensure students for Duquesne University and the Community College of Allegheny County. She has taught clinical classes for sophomore-senior students across the nursing spectrum, from fundamentals classes to critical care specialty groups.

Molly is actively engaged in professional, academic, and community service, with a particular commitment to advancing the nursing profession through leadership, advocacy, and mentorship. She serves as Vice-President of the Board of Trustees of the Nursing Foundation of Pennsylvania and contributes to scholarship and governance efforts that support the nursing workforce.

At the state and national levels, she has served as a voting representative and legislative advocate through the American Nurses Association and Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, participated in the AACN Government Affairs and Policy Internship and Student Policy Summit, and was selected as a GSNA Advocacy Leader and mentor. Her academic service included reviewing abstracts for the National League for Nursing Annual Summit and serving on the peer review and advisory committees for OJIN: The Online Journal of Issues in Nursing. She also contributes to the nursing community through service on the steering committee of Nurses SHIFT Change, and with DNPs of Color.

Beyond professional organizations, Molly is committed to community engagement, servicing as a Girl Scout troop leader and participating in civic initiatives through the League of Women Voters and Fair Districts PA.

At this point in her career, Dr. McCullough is focused on chronic disease, particularly diabetes management within the acute care setting.
