Pitt-Greensburg nursing BSN students apply their classroom learning by completing more than 900 clinical hours at various acute and community healthcare organizations, including Independence Health System and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center campuses.
In addition to earning their BSN, students have the opportunity to choose a variety of minors. Pitt-Greensburg uniquely offers a minor in Healthcare Management, which sets students up for further career advancement.
Pitt-Greensburg nursing students follow the same curriculum and graduate with the same University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing degree as students at the Oakland campus. Graduates from the Pitt-Greensburg BSN program become part of a large network of prestigious Pitt School of Nursing alumni working throughout our region and nation.

The Pitt-Johnstown nursing BSN program combines clinical practice with traditional nursing theory and values that emphasize holistic patient care. Students in the program develop a strong theoretical base of biological and behavioral sciences with a foundation in the liberal arts, providing them with the skills and experience necessary for careers in today’s nursing profession.
Through community partnerships with healthcare providers such as Memorial Medical Center, Somerset Hospital, Altoona Regional Hospital, and Select Specialty Hospital, students receive real-world preparation through high-quality clinical experiences.
