|ATC||NURNP||2105||3||Clinical Emphasis - Cardiopulmonary|
This course is designed to develop a comprehensive, theoretical evidence-based practical foundation for advanced nursing practice in the diagnosis and management of adults with cardiopulmonary dysfunctions/alterations. The course integrates the pathophysiology of cardiopulmonary dysfunctions/alterations with appropriate diagnostic parameters and management strategies. Through ongoing clinical experience, students implement the nursing process when caring for patients who are acutely ill and apply the clinical decision-making process in the care of these patients. Health promotion, protection, and maintenance appropriate to these patients and families will also be emphasized.
