At the School of Nursing Winter Commencement Ceremony, graduates from each of the academic programs will be recognized – bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and certificate programs.
Nursing Commencement FAQs
- What time does the ceremony start?

The ceremony will start at 6:00 p.m.
Doors open for seating at 5:00 p.m.
The handicapped-accessible entrance will be open at 4:30 p.m. for guests needing extra time to access the auditorium.
- Where is the event located?

The event will be held at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum. Information about the facility can be found at: Soldiers & Sailors.
- What is the attire for students?

Academic regalia (cap, gown, and hood) is required for all students. Regalia can be purchased at The University Store on Fifth or by ordering at: Regalia Orders.
- What is the attire for guests?

Business attire.

Is there a special place for students to meet?
- How many guests can each student bring?

The is no limit on the number of guests students can bring to attend this event. No tickets are required.
- How long will the ceremony last?

The ceremony will last about an hour and fifteen minutes.
- Are there assigned seats?

Yes. There will be assigned seats for the students.
Guests may sit anywhere throughout the auditorium except for the blocked-off student section.
- Where is the handicap-accessible entrance to the building?

There is a handicap-accessible entrance to the facility of University Place. There is a small parking lot that currently has some scaffolding in the area. Guests can be dropped off and picked up in this area. Guests are not able to park in this lot.
