Testing for Tuberculosis Infection is a Free learning activity sponsored by Breathe Pennsylvania in collaboration with the School of Nursing. The purpose of this educational program is to provide health care professionals who are engaged in tuberculosis (TB) containment with a review of the Mantoux Tuberculin Skin Test (TST), which is widely used in testing for TB infection. According to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the identification and treatment of TB infection is the most effective means of eliminating tuberculosis disease.
