Evaluating the Student

The evaluation process is a mechanism to determine student progress and attainment of identified learning outcomes. The preceptors use of effective evaluation strategies ensures a thorough and fair approach to asses the student's clinical practice.

At the end of the module participants will be able to do the following:

  1. Distinguish between feedback and evaluation;
  2. Describe different evaluation techniques; and
  3. Discuss ways to enhance fairness in evaluating.
