Biography
Dr. Kitutu is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Community Engagement at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing. Dr. Kitutu fosters inclusivity and capacity building in diverse populations within the school, university, and the communities of interest. He is the school’s point of contact on all community engagement matters. Dr. Kitutu works closely with the university community engagement office to drive the Plan for Pitt to fruition.
Scholarly Emphasis
Dr. Kitutu’s research area focuses on exploring student data from recruitment, admission, academic progression, graduation, certification outcomes, and the nursing workforce.
Teaching
Dr. Kitutu co-teaches an undergraduate statistics course.
Service
Dr. Kitutu serves on the DEI Leadership Network Succession Committee for the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN).
