Suzanne Morrison, DNP, CRNA, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesia. Suzanne completed her DNP at the University of Pittsburgh in December 2013. She received funding for her DNP project, “Perioperative Glucose Monitoring and Treatment of Patients Undergoing Vascular Surgery in a Community Hospital Setting,” from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Foundation’s Kay Wagner Memorial Fellowship and the New York Life Fellowship in August 2013. She was selected for poster presentations at the AANA Congress in Las Vegas, Nev., in August 2013 on the methodology of her project, and at the AANA Congress in Orlando, Fla., in August 2014 on the results of her project. The results of her DNP project also were published in the December 2014 AANA Journal.
Suzanne has been on faculty since 2013 and received the Pennsylvania Nurse Anesthetist Association Didactic Instructor of the Year Award in 2016. Her area of scholarly interest focuses on perioperative glucose control, human patient simulation, and translational nursing research.
