Research

My research involves socio-technical implications of the implementation of computerized physician order entry and electronic health records, specifically changes in personal power and clinicians` resistance. I am also interested in evaluation of clinical systems, decision support, and interoperability of various systems.

Teaching

I Teach Nursing Informatics (NUR 0086).

Service

I`m currently a member of the American Medical Informatics Association, CARING, and American Nursing Informatics Association.

Clinical

My clinical background includes staff nursing on medical and oncology patient units, long term care, and part time as a private duty nurse while attending school.
