People Who Use Opioids: Protecting Their Safety & Promoting Their Health

Join Pitt Nursing for a continuing education session on a topic that is in the headlines every day…prescription opioid abuse.  A panel of experts will discuss using the preventative public health model, Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT), to treat patients who are at risk of opioid misuse. In addition, the participants will develop skills and effective use strategies for naloxone as well as other overdose intervention medications.
