Introduction to Nursing Informatics for Nurse Educators Coming in November
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Nurse educators are charged with the task of preparing graduates who can perform effectively in today’s rapidly expanding informatics-intensive healthcare environment. Incorporating informatics content into the undergraduate curriculum remains a challenge for many nursing programs. This course designed specifically for nurse educators, examines strategies for incorporating informatics concepts into nursing curricula. In addition to basic informatics learning exercises, it also provides strategies for informatics content in electronic health records, computerized provider order entry, clinical decision support, and HIPAA. Each module contains resources to help you implement these strategies in your own program.
