Center for Research & Evaluation
Director: Dr. Janice Dorman
To help meet the School's growing commitment to research, the Center for Research & Evaluation (CRE) was established in the Fall of 1987. Not only does the School of Nursing have a full complement of biomedical and data laboratories stocked with state-of-the-art equipment, the CRE is staffed with statisticians, grants administrators and clerical personnel.
Center for Research in Chronic Disorders
Dr. Jacqueline Dunbar-Jacob
The Center for Research in Chronic Disorders (CRCD) was founded in October 1994 and is supported by a core center grant from the NIH-NINR. The CRCD is, thus, an independent entity in the School of Nursing. The Center provides infrastructure support for multidisciplinary, outcomes based research in chronic disorders across the lifespan. The Center is designed to provide support for the development of science in the area of chronic disorders, with particular emphasis on quality of life, functional status, cognitive function, and adherence to treatment regimens as they are impacted by and impact management of those disorders.
Center for Innovation in Clinical Learning
Interim Director: Dr. Helen Burns
The center includes a computer lab, reading room and an audio-visual viewing area. The school's nursing skills lab is also located in the Center for Innovation in Clinical Learning (CICL). The skills lab provides a dedicated area for both graduate and undergraduate students to acquire and practice new skills and techniques in nursing care.
