Audio/ Video equipment advertised on this page is currently available to all School of Nursing Faculty and Staff for use in the School of Nursing. This equipment is scarce and therefore may not be available for use at all times. To request equipment, please fill out an Audio/ Visual Equipment Request Form with the item(s) in the “Special Instruction /Requests” section. Equipment must be ordered at least 48 hours in advance and cancelled 24 hours in advance. Please direct any questions or concerns to the Audio/ Video Coordinator Nam Do at (412) 624-8601.

Student Response System (SRS)
The Student Response System (SRS) consists of hand-held interactive student response pads. With the SRS, you can ask objective and subjective questions. Then, every student responds with their individual, wireless response pad. In addition to assessing classroom comprehension, CPS also grades quizzes and homework in a matter of seconds. CPS keeps a log of every class session you create, so your records are always available at the click of a mouse. More information can be found at: eInstruction.com. Hitachi/ Wacom Starboard EM Panel
The Starboard EM Panel raises the bar in tablet presentation technology with a 17-inch LCD display screen that boasts SXGA resolution, excellent color and contrast, and a thin screen that assures natural, accurate operation. It operates as an interactive display monitor and allows a user the ability to make annotations directly on the screen.
SMART Board
A SMART Board is an interactive whiteboard and allows a user the ability to write, erase and perform mouse functions with your finger, a pen or an eraser – you need no proprietary tools. Video Conferencing / Distance Education
The School of Nursing is capable of providing video conferencing with the same equipment we use for Distance Equipment. We can connect to various institutions and universities across the nation with the same capabilities. More information can be found on Polycom’s website.
