Recommended Membership – American College of Nurse Midwives

In addition to tuition and fees for the BSN to DNP Nurse-Midwife Major (Tuition and Fees), students are encouraged to join the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM). After graduation, the student must take the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) examination in order to become a CNM and to qualify for licensure in most states. There are no fees associated with clinical placements, except students may be responsible for the costs of physical examinations and clearances as required by the clinical site.

Examples of the costs associated with ACNM membership (including attending their annual meeting and taking the AMCB certification examination) are identified in the links below.

Non-voting membership for students enrolled in ACME-accredited midwifery education programs.

Recommended attendance at Annual Convention: Visit the current conference page on the ACNM Website for up-to-date costs of attendance.
