Admission Criteria
- Evidence of a Master's Degree in Nursing
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Satisfactory resume or relevant work experience
- Three letters of recommendation attesting to the applicant's capacity and potential for master's study from each of the following:
- The director or a faculty member from the most recent academic program attended (if applicant has been a nursing student in the last 5 years);
- A recent employer; and,
- A person who can speak to the applicant's professional work.
- A pre-admission interview. If the applicant resides at a great distance, a telephone interview may be conducted.
- Statement of goals you plan to achieve during coursework

Spring (Year 1)
- NURSP 2071 Design and Process of Instruction 3 cr.
Summer (Year 1)
- NURSP 2072 Measurement and Evaluation 3 cr.
Fall (Year 2)
- NURSP 2073 Practicum in Nursing Education: Teaching & Learning
Assessment 3 cr.
Spring (Year 2)

NURSP 2074 Practicum in Nursing Education: Educational Program
Management 3 cr.
*Three credits of elective courses are required for this program. Electives should be selected complement the students career or learning goals. Prerequisites for elective courses must be met prior to registering for the course (s). Permission to enroll in an elective course must be obtained from the course instructor prior to registration.
