Certificate In Nursing Research
The Certificate in Nursing Research program is a multidisciplinary non-degree certificate program for Bachelor prepared nurses who are seeking focused education in the field of research. Current graduate students and those who have completed a graduate degree are also eligible. This program particularly targets persons interested in advancing their knowledge and skills as clinical research coordinators and quality assurance managers.

Admission Criteria
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Non-BSN prepared registered nurses with a Bachelor degree in a non-nursing field will be evaluated individually
- Current license as a registered nurse
- All students must obtain a Pennsylvania license
- At least 1 year of nursing experience
- A pre-admission interview
- Three professional recommendations
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Score
- GRE may be waived for admission into a Master's program if the QPA is 3.5
- Prerequisite statistics course
- Short essay

- Epidem 2181 Design of Clinical Trials 2 cr.

Spring Term (Year 2)
- NUR 2800 Coordinating Clinical Trials 2 cr.

*Three credits of an elective course are required for this program. An elective course should be selected based on the student’s overall objectives in consultation with the Coordinator. Prerequisites for an elective course must be met prior to registering for the course.
