Continuing Nursing Education
Welcome to the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Website. The goal of the CNE Department is to provide a variety of high quality live and enduring / on-line educational activities to promote lifelong learning for professional nurses. Our areas of focus include: advanced practice, education, leadership, and re-entry into practice.
The School of Nursing’s Continuing Nursing Education Department is pleased to announce that it has received accreditation as a provider of CNE from July 22, 2013 to July 31, 2017 from the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (PO229).
The CNE Department is interested in collaborating with various groups or organizations who share common interests to develop, plan, organize, and conduct CNE activities. If you would like more information on how to develop a co-providership, please contact:

*As a result of a special agreement between UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, UPMC nurses may receive a 50% discount on the cost of live and enduring CNE activities. UPMC nurses must register for learning activities and provide their UPMC employee number for verification. Nurses must successfully complete all the requirements of the learning activity to receive contact hours.

The School of Nursing realizes that there is an untapped pool of content experts within the members of its Alumni.
